Shanghai Golf Australia Description
The Mission of Shanghai Golf Australia (SGA) is to make available a form of golf that is designed to enhance the lives of people with disabilities and injuries to improve their physical, mental, social and emotional well being. This game is also suited to any person wishing to play a new sport that offers these benefits. Shanghai Golf is non stressful, fun, enjoyable and is affordable to play.
This game is played with a specially designed Shanghai (which a permit is required before purchase), Golf Ball a Putter and Safety Glasses. The ball is launched with the Shanghai from the nominated teeing area towards the green. Multiple shots are played until the ball has come to rest on the green and then a conventional putter is used to get the ball into the hole. All shots and strokes are added up to give you the score for that particular hole and then onto the next hole.
Open days are being planned for the Lower Hunter Region in the upcoming months. Details will be posted on our facebook page as events are secured.
