Last year thanks to Geoff Provest MP - 100% For Tweed Shaping Outcomes received some much needed funding through the 2017 Community Building Partnership program to replace our air conditioner unit in our Family Room that had stopped working.
We were honoured that Mr Provest visited Shaping Outcomes last week and met with our staff. We would like to extend a very big thank you for the grant and look forward to hosting our families in comfort from now on.

Shaping Outcomes are honoured to be one of several recipients to have received funding through the Tweed Shire Council Community Sponsorship Policy for 2018. We would like to say a very big thank you for these funds, which will be used for our Let's Play Playgroup - a free service providing support for families who have child with a disability. Some support locally that might interest some families!

I wanted to do a very quick shout out to the members of Rotary Club of Currumbin Coolangatta Tweed Inc. Most people would know that Rotarian's do incredible work raising funds and donating to local and international causes... Shaping Outcomes Tweed is just one! What is more difficult to understand is the sheer back breaking and tireless work they do to help the community.
Cooly Rocks On was an amazing event this year and the ladies and gents manning the Rotary BBQ were run off their feet for 7 hours or more with no break on Saturday often with 15-20 people lining up.....this does not include all the time spent setting up and packing up or the fact they started on Friday were there again on Sunday. The biggest congratulations to the team, I hope you are all fully recovered and feeling very proud of another successful Rotary weekend!

We have been notified that Social Futures will be facilitating information sessions that will aim to prepare Participants for their 12 month scheduled plan review. So if your child is aged 7+.
The scheduled Tweed Session - is on the 12th June at 10am to be held at South Tweed Sports. Information on the brochure and RSVP to shay.churchill@socialfutures.org.au.
There are also sessions to be held in Lismore (please contact Social Futures for any additional information).

The Australasian Order of Old Bastards are one of our original Community Partners. Supporting our organisation and the children and families we help for many years. One of their favourite projects to support is providing visual aids to children and families who need them. Last Friday I was honoured to receive a donation from them to support this project again. This donation will help us provide visual aids in our groups and to those children and families who may not receive NDIS funded visual aids. Thank you again AOOB.
