Shockingly rude and unsympathetic receptionist/triage nurse. Saw her laughing about a poor young girl who was crying hysterically.

I have had a horrible experience with the antenatal clinic at Shellharbour Hospital. I'm pregnant and I have had trouble with them my whole pregnancy and it has been the most stressful time of the whole pregnancy. I have been trying to call the clinic for 4 days and haven't been able to get through. I have tried several numbers and even called the hospital directly over and over and asked them to transfer me through. I don't get a call back, and have never been answered once. Just pick up the phone.

!4 oct 15 arrived late afternoon at the emergency nurses window, explained I had dropped something heavy on my left big toe. I was taken in custody and my big toe was wrapped up secularly, my info taken, and made as comfortable as possible. A bit of a wait and the toe was xrayed, a young Dr John inspected the toe along with a Senior Dr,I was advised about the fracture and what I needed to do, the toe was rewrapped, I felt better and no longer worried,.
I appreciate all that was done, and I thank you all.
Regards bob b
Maybe I should add to my comment ( a bit of a wait ), there was a little girl , all her fingers had been jammed in in a wind blown door, another little had severly twisted her knee, a young aboriginal girl ( well educated ) had broken her left arm, my big toe did'nt look so important to me then. bob b

Years ago (probably about 7 to 10?) my friend was there because of severe depression and suicidal thoughts. They never listened or helped in any way, They didn't even look at her while she was talking and explaining why she was depressed. They just kept doing what they were doing and occasionally nodded without even raising their eyes.
One doctor in particular was unbelievably bad, almost inhuman. He kept telling my friend that her father was dead and that she was on her own again and again.... He ordered the nurses to give her meds because of delusions when she mentioned her achievements - achievements for which she has received praise and awards worldwide (I know for sure because I check her emails when she is unwell) and she also got into Who's Who. That doc was a real shame not only for the hospital, but for the human race at large.I once saw him while visiting. He was huge, dark, didn't speak much English and just didn't know what he was doing. I hope he lost his job. I don't think I saw him again, so I really hope he's gone.
As far as giving attention to patients is concerned - forget it. I have even read that a patient recently killed another patient because he was very sick and they were not watching him. So not much has changed.
