Disgraceful attitude. The senior lady told my pregnant niece to sit down and get out of the road. There was twenty of us,and just arrived and were in the process of getting our seats. We left and went to saltwater cafe. Extremely genuine and polite greeting from the lady at the counter. Seated without fuss, meals within 15 minutes and great quality. Short black cafe a joke.

If I could give it a zero I would. Can't rate the food or coffee as the man behind the counter was so rude, I didn't even place an order. Your customers are your business, learn how to be a nice person.

Too long watining time (around 45 min for smashed avo)...staff forgot half of the order and too expensive for the quality (poached eggs were well done).

Not a busy cafe, but we waited more than one hour, food just edible, service was terrible.

What are the odds that you and your friends get less change than you should've got? Being low on coins is no excuse to pocket extra $2.70.

I'm a local and thought to give this spot a shot - despite its reputation. I'd instantly regret it.

We ordered our usual, a skim flat white and peppermint tea. A quiet morning, the young waiter swiftly brought us a skim flat white and a green tea.

"I'm sorry, we ordered a peppermint tea" we replied, cordially.

"I'll get you a peppermint tea, but you did say green tea" she replied.

We were initially gobsmacked at this response. Having overheard my wife's order, and know her indifference towards green tea, I know very well she ordered a peppermint tea

"No, we said peppermint tea" with

Even if we had wrongfully ordered, which I'm sure countless well-intentioned customers have, I would never expect anything less than a 'customer is always right' approach.

We then overheard the young waitress behind the counter, preparing the new drink, explain to her boss "they did say green tea"

At this point we interpreted, acknowledged that we could hear them both, and spoke directly to the manager. Not aggressively, we simply explained that we had indeed ordered a peppermint tea and encouraged her young waitress to adopt a 'customer's right approach' over such a menial order.

In response, the manager went on to explain that the young waiter was infact her daughter. The manager told us that she trusted her daughter's recount of our order. and THEN asked us to leave. All this, for a lousy wrong order.

This experience was, hands down, the WORST service we've ever encountered - the contempt towards customers, the nepotism ingrained in this place and the humiliation of being asked to leave.

I did, however, get my flat white for free. Pity though the milk was burnt.

Waited 40 mins for the first dishes to arrive. Had to cancel a dish after waiting 50 mins.

Also watched all the food prep behind the counter with no gloves on.
