Sax Blue ‚Äď saxophone quartet in the Convent Garden ‚Äď Sunday 9 September Sacred Spaces at the Sisters of Mercy Convent Spring saxes in the Garden! Hear jazz & other classics, particularly jazz music from the early 20th Century, performed in our glorious spring garden by Sax Blue ‚Äď a saxophone quartet. Perfectly suited for a garden party! They are a well-known group based in Newcastle, led by Mr Rod Barnes.... You are invited to BYO drinks, picnic food, rugs or low seats and relax in our front garden. Shops and people lovely but caravan park we stayed at was disgusting, no door on amenities and couldn't sleep due to the traffic. Our power box had heaps of spider webs so it looks like only the permanent residents use the park. It spoilt our stay.
