Skillset CEO Craig Randazzo attended the 20 Year Economic Vision for Regional NSW meeting today held in Bathurst with NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian, Deputy Premier and Minister for Regional NSW John Barilaro, Paul Toole MP and Andrew Gee MP.
We were pleased to hear the NSW Government’s unveiling of the first special activation precinct and an inland port in Parkes NSW. This project is expected to create hundreds of jobs and apprenticeships to assist with the planned regional development. This is an exciting time for regional NSW and we look forward to our organisation being able to play a part.

The New South Wales Government has announced today that it will allocate $285 million to scrap TAFE fees for 100,000 apprentices. Skillset applauds the announcement that the NSW Government will take on 100 per cent of the cost of courses for apprentices,
“This announcement makes the option of VET even more attractive to high school leavers, and will help to break the notion that VET education is second to university as an option for further education."
