"The Opening Day" exhibition at the Museum of Australian Democracy is the latest exhibition project by Slingshot Design. The exhibition commemorates the 90th anniversary of the opening of Old Parliament House by the Duke of York in 1927. The display is spread throughout the halls of Old Parliament House and includes the gold key used to officially open the door, memorabilia, clothes people wore to the ceremony, official programs and photographs.
