Smile Please was originally a vintage second-hand store in Newtown operated by Chris. In October 2013, Nick’s SydneySuper8 moved into 457 King Street to join Smile Please, making it Sydney's only old school film and camera store. Both Nick and Chris have vast collections of photography equipment and extensive knowledge about anything related to still and motion film photography. Festooned with old signage, the store is a walk back in time to the camera stores of days gone by. We are also proud of our extensive knowledge and collection of super 8 cameras for sale, including super 8 and regular 8mm film. We can say that we are the only true designated store of this type in Sydney!

The store offers all types of old school cameras, still and motion, and has virtually anything emulsion related from Minox to Linhof. We offer C41, B /W and E6 processing on almost any format of film, plus scanning, and we have fresh and expired film in limited quantities, including Minox, Minolta-16, 126, 110, 135, 120, and 4x5 sheet film.

Nick will service most old school prime lenses and old camera bodies including repairs of light seals, lubrication, Polaroid peel camera battery conversions, plus we have hard to find batteries too. So if you are unsure of that old camera dad or granddad left you bring it in and we'll have it going no time.
