Snapfreeze came from humble beginnings in the sunroom of our home in Wallsend more than 20 years ago. Michael Snape (owner) had completed his trade in refrigeration & air conditioning at BHP and went on to become a sales rep for a multi-national gas company.

Travelling around the country he showed the refrigeration & air conditioning trade how to retrofit equipment and use new gases.

A young family made it harder to leave every month so eventually he left his job and established Snapfreeze. Working 7 days a week and on call 24 /7 he did everything from car and truck air conditioning to home and business air conditioning and the humble domestic fridge.

We are fortunate enough to have a number of staff members that have come with us on this journey and grown and developed with us, including Kris Cristobal that has been with us for over ten years. We are a family business and recognise that our staff are our greatest asset.
