Booked in for a cut and keratin treatment on the 2nd of June and was placed in the able hands of Rogerio. Explained that the last time I had a keratin treatment done, the previous salon hadn’t put it on my roots as “this makes your hair appear really flat” – whilst that’s probably true for some people, my hair is naturally very curly with the most intense parts being my roots and because I choose to style my hair straight at the roots with bouncy curls at the bottom, this meant I left with very straight hair everywhere but my roots (not really ideal). Rogerio listened to me and gave me a tailored keratin/ smoothing treatment that meant he applied keratin to my roots and a smoothing treatment to the rest of my hair so I didn’t leave with my hair super straight and stuck to my face. I’ve since washed my hair to get the remainder of the keratin residue out (some salons wash your hair again for you so you leave with no residue in your hair but I guess it depends on where you go) and my hair is so smooth and silky with much, much straighter roots that take minutes to straighten after washing (I leave my hair to dry naturally, if I were to blast my roots with a hairdryer they probably wouldn’t have to be straightened). Rogerio is also one of the few hairdressers who have actually left me with most of my length when I’ve asked for just a little trim (we all know a few hairdressers that like to take 4 inches off when you’ve asked for a few cm haha). All in all, I was really impressed by how lovely the salon is, how welcoming all the staff are and how good my hair looks and feels from visiting. Definitely recommend.
