Some Cafe

Beautiful building, great coffee, cakes and staff. Well worth the minor diversion from the Hume or even a trip from Canberra if you are a foodie. We left with an armful of homemade jams too.

Nice little cafe - cakes and tarts are amazing. Couldn't recommend highly enough - worth going to collector just for this cafe.

Really good place to stop when on the road/driving the Hume. Small menu, but all tasty - highly recommend the chicken & leek pie. Good coffee and chai latte. Only let down was the carrot cake - walnuts were yummy but the icing was too sweet. Much prefer cream cheese icing with my carrot cake. Really nice staff/owners.

We're here for the pumpkin festival so we had to try a pumpkin muffin. So delicious. Also good hot chocolate and chai latte and very quick and friendly service, even though it's very busy. Recommended.

The coffee is lovingly prepared and mighty tasty. The food was simple but mainly because the owners were on holiday :-) The avocado on toast with house made dukkah was yummy and filling. They also had a cabinet full of tasty looking sweets, but I didn't sample them this time around.
The most exciting thing, for me, the city slicker, was the locals​ coming in and giving the cafe excess home produce like flowers and table grapes.
This is definitely a cafe worth visiting. I will come back!

Your standard, reasonable quality inner Canberra cafe transported to a quiet rural village. Clean, whitewashed look in what was a home with many purposes over a century of use within a short walk of the ever interesting cemeteries. Better than hitting the crowded beer-swills of the more famous Bushranger Hotel up the road.
