Dr Gelderman offers a full range of mobile / in house veterinary services. He is able to complete most treatments in the comfort of your own home.

Diederik Gelderman BVSc, MVS graduated from the University of Sydney with First Class Honours in 1977.

He established Greenhills Veterinary Hospital in 1990 and transformed it from a struggling 1 man practice into a burgeoning regional Veterinary Hospital servicing the wider Hunter Valley.

This business won many Australian Veterinary as well as non-Veterinary (customer service) awards from 1996 till 2005.

Diederik sold his practice in July 2009 to move to Exeter and to be with Jennifer.

However over the last 4 years, he so missed the clinical work, the clients and above all his patients that in June 2013 he started a small, intimate one-on-one house call practice focusing on dogs, cats and his beloved horses.

At their 10 hectare property, Diederik and Jennifer have 9 dogs, 3 cats, (these all ‘live’ inside the house) 3 horses, 2 donkeys, 5 cows as well as innumerable chooks, ducks, geese, pheasants, peacocks, turkeys, lorikeets, a pigeon and a dove.

Suffice to say – the majority of these are ‘rescues’…. .

He has a passion for pets, rapid learning, profound knowledge, the environment, helping the underprivileged and competes at ‘A’ level squash.
