Southern. IML Pathology is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and operates in line with the current Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) Essential Standards. In order to comply with the Standards, Southern. IML Pathology operates within a documented quality assurance system.
The core business of Southern. IML Pathology is the collection and analysis of human and veterinary pathology specimens, environmental testing and related consultancy services. Services include histology, cytology, biochemistry, haematology, serology, blood banking, microbiology and support information for medical practices.
In addition to the core business overview, the organization is supported by a formal training arm in the specimen collection department which is a registered training organisation with the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) for the delivery of training and assessment services in the health industry training package HLT37215 Certificate III in Pathology Collection and HLT37415 Certificate III in Pathology Assistance.
