Now I'm home in Byron Bay I have some time to look back at the last 6 weeks in Tonga. Absolutely the trip of a lifetime and without a doubt the highlight was the epic heatrun we witnessed over 2 days including about 20 bull humpbacks. @toshiephoto captured a rare shot of me caught in the action. My lens just wasn't wide enough for 20 stampeding whales. Dreaming of 2018 season already, if you want to get on board for Tonga next year message me asap as spots are filling fast :)

Perfect way to finish our last day in Tonga. Friday the 13 th dawned amid peals of thunder ,lightning and torrential rain. Fortune favours the bold and we headed out in poor conditions to be rewarded with an absolutely gorgeous mother and calf! Can't wait to get back here next year

Playing peek a boo in the big blue. The whale season is winding down here in Tonga, we have had some of the most incredible encounters over the last month from epic heat runs to intimate moments like this one.
