Tidy departments mean you can find what you are looking for. Staff are somewhat helpful and friendly. Good range for a mid-size store.

Great store. Customer Service always friendly especially the curtains and haberdashery section. Very helpful. Wide variety of products but they seem to run out fast of items I’m looking for or needing. Great bargains too!

We had a great experience at Spotlight Rockdale - we ordered balloons for a baby shower and we were served by Wendy at the balloon/party counter. Wendy was very patient, friendly and helpful and went out of her way to assist with our order. Everything went smoothly from putting in our order and picking up the balloons. Awesome customer service - thank you Wendy!

Great service!! An item that was online saying it was in stock was actually out of stock with only an alternative that was twice the price. The lovely cashier gave me 50% the pricier item to compensate :)

Bit of a mixed bag. You never know if something is going to be in stock or not, which is frustrating if you see something online but can't find it in the store. It doesn't help that staff don't seem to know what they do or don't have, and weren't able (or willing?) to check their system for it. They couldn't tell me where I would even find it either.. "somewhere in craft section... Or maybe near the front..."

Horrible horrible horrible what a waste of time - hrs today and energy effort ! It's like suffocating no air & so weird clearly it was discounted there were multiple of the same items on that area. She did later take all but one item remaining which was the same item but repackaged in a bad way - but the item was still the same and I wonder if that wouldve been discounted... And some of the staff are creepy

Poor professionalism in this store. The prices on online are not the same that in this store. I asked a woman that works there of she had the same item I saw online (in Spotlight's website) and she couldn't say if they had it or not, so she provided a similar one way more expensive.

It's a busy place however one of the assistants, Stella, is always helpful and very courteous. I'm writing this review because the last time I was there, she volunteered to help me to my car with the blinds I had just purchased. She really is first class and could teach a class on customer service. Thanks Stella!

Terrible customer service. All workers including head office seem airy-fairy. Called Rockdale store and put on hold for a while, hung up and called back NINE (9) TIMES NO ANSWER, waste of 20 minutes. Called head office to lodge a complaint, ON HOLD FOR 20 MINUTES TRANSFERRING ME TO THE CORRECT DEPARTMENT. Horrible, unexceptionable customer service. Taking my business and my neighbour's and families and spending our hundreds elsewhere now.

The incompetence is painful. I went in a week ago to hire a helium tank for this weekend. I was told I had to call one or two days before to hire the tank. Fine.

I call today and I'm told that tanks can't be hired out over the phone and I'll need to come back in to pay for the tank. When I explain that I've already been in I'm told that people have tanks booked out as far as SEPTEMBER and that if I was in I would have been able to hire the tank.

So now I have to go back to Rockdale to once again try to hire this tank.

EDIT: went all the way back to Spotlight and was told I couldn't pay for the tank until I picked it up the following day. The staff member was confused as to why I had come in INSTEAD OF JUST CALLING.

Went in the following day and wasn't even asked my name until I was filling in the form to pick up the tank. Reserving a tank was pointless.

If it were possible no star rating would be given. Visited store Monday evening. Great idea to have extended shopping hours but have the staff to work those extended hours. One staff member for the cutting area who was also covering the curtains and furnishings area and trying to locate another staff member who could help was impossible. Young staff member when finally gets back to cutting table keeps apologising that she is the only one on the roster and has to cover a large area and in her words "I have 2 arms and 2 legs and can only be in one place at a time". Not great Spotlight when staff feel that way and voice to customers.

What can one say; the experience I have had is poor and if I could give no stars I would. I work for a financial institution and I treated our clients the way that Spotlight has treated me I would be fronting the banking ombudsman. I ordered made to measure curtains and a blind. I was told 6 weeks and as I had not heard anything I chased them up on the 7th week to find only the curtains were ready but the blind wasn’t. Week 8 I had to follow up again and was told that the blind has gone missing. Week 10 I had to follow up again and was advised that the replacement has gone missing and that they had to re-order again. I placed the order on the 19/04/2017 and 13 weeks still no blind. I was promised a credit to my card as compensation and that to has not been actioned.

Last time i visited the store was messy and items laying all over the floor. There was also a long line. Could have been a lack of staff on that day so i might update my score in the future.

Absolutely disgusting 5mins ago 6 people waiting while a lovely young lady "Mandy"
Yelled at by her manager"MANDY BREAK NOW" she left the counter and obeyed instantly.
Have respect you piece of dirt talking to staff like that.
How about you give a crash course in smiling and customer service to the arrogant indian sour puss near the register not willing to assist when i asked if the drink dispenser came in a box.

A nice young boy helped me with my shopping, he cut the fabric my wife needed and knew about all the products we asked about. He was a delight and should pursue a job in customer service

It's got lots of rolls of material. A trip to spotlight is the equivalent of having bamboo shoved under your finger nails....

Which one of these three seemingly similar materials would I prefer?? How should I know! I'm just hoping we can stop at the bottle shop on the way home.
