St George Potters Description
We are a small community potters group offering membership to experienced potters and affordable classes for those wanting to discover their inner clayworker.
St George Potters has served Sydney’s inner and southern suburbs since the early 1960s. Our fully equipped studio is located at the corner of Hirst & Edwards Streets, Arncliffe.
Electric kilns, electric wheels, an extruder, a slab roller, moulds, and a ceramics library are all available to students and members.
For students - we provide initial training including handbuilding, traditional wheel-throwing, sculpture and the use of plaster moulds.
Some of our students go on to tertiary training in pottery.
