About St Pius X Adamstown
St Pius X HS is a junior, co-educational, Catholic secondary school, catering for students in Years 7 to 10.
St Pius X Adamstown Description
We are a junior, co-educational, Catholic secondary school, catering for students in Years 7 to 10. Currently just over 1000 students are enrolled making us the largest school in the Maitland-Newcastle Diocese.
Named after St Pius X, the School crest (top left) is modeled on the Pope’s coat of arms. The school motto ‘Omnia in Christo’ (all things in Christ) reminds staff and students that everything we do, we do for Christ, with the aim of making our world a better place for all.
Our community is built on the promotion of mutual respect and we work to make our school one that encourages growth and achievement. St Pius is a place where students are encouraged to think for themselves, be confident and happy and to cultivate a balanced attitude to life. Our vision is a school community that is authentically Catholic, just, caring and sensitive to the needs of all its members and committed to inspiring all students to do their best.

The Year 8 excursion to Luna Park took place last Friday. Students enjoyed a great day of fun whilst engaged in the processes of working mathematically.

Mrs Moore's Year 9 Visual Arts class have got on the Book Week bandwagon with a terrific display of their amazing picture books. Visit the library to see how text and image work together to create engaging narratives!
Year 10 took part in Writing workshops today with published Young Adult author Gabrielle Reid. Gabrielle worked with students on how to make their descriptions more vivid, establish an effective tone and techniques for differentiating voice. What a wonderful opportunity!

Congratulations staff and students on another fantastic SPX Day! A special thank you to Mr Frost, Mrs Lunarzewski and all the students who prepared and took part in the moving liturgy focusing on caring for creation.
SPX Feast Day is tomorrow! Our annual Feast Day is a celebration OF and FOR the St Pius High School Community. The theme for our Feast Day Liturgy will be 'Caring for Creation'. Students are reminded to come prepared for normal classes period 1. Wear casual clothes with covered footwear suitable for games. Please remember to bring money for the food and activity stalls. All profits will support our four Social justice causes. Catholic Mission, the DARA van, World Challenge and Buy a Bale.
