Excellent massage. Lovely atmosphere

Unfortunately I don't believe this place lives up to their prices. For this area, the prices are suggesting that you will be getting the very best treatment around. I work in a very high end spa myself, as a licensed beauty therapist and was quite disappointed with my experience here. I received a massage, which was actually really good. That was the best part of my experience, the therapist fixed my back up very well! I also received a facial, which was less than impressive. I was not given an analyzation or asked any questions about my skin. The facial massage itself was good, but for one, the fact that there was no proper BASIC equipment (towel warmer, steamer, woods lamp, bed warmer) made the facial very unpleasant. A dodgy steel bowl with lukewarm water and a cheap cloth to remove products was AWFUL! The therapist did not know how to properly drape the face with the cloths, and kept spilling water into my eyes and down my neck, which was most uncomfortable. On top of that, she never introduced her hands gently and always introduced them to a different part of my face which startles a person when their eyes are closed and a stranger is touching a delicate place. She ended with lathering a LOT of very emollient moisturizer over my skin that I literally had to wipe off because it was too much. It was not relaxing as, for one, the lights cannot be dimmed and secondly, the therapist continually walked across the room and refilled the steel bowl up with the water on the highest pressure, making such an unpleasant noise. Overall the facial was absolutely NOT up to par and honestly has me questioning whether the lady was even licensed. Side note: the table I was on was a cheap and dodgy massage table that cannot be adjusted AND there were NO sheets, only TOWELS covering the table and myself. At the end of the treatments, I was told there was a drink of water for me, low and behold it was in a paper cup. I honestly just had to laugh at what a complete joke that was. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY if you're looking for a relaxing environment or a half decent facial. Do yourself a favour and head to one of the many resort spas instead.

We called and they accepted our booking quite quickly which was great. The massage cost $90 which I am happy to pay. For such a cost it will be a high end massage with hot tea serve right after you finished your massage but hot tea was offered but was not ready right after the massage. Massage therapist was not really experience. Service was polite. The music player was out of order and the therapist have to go several time to replay the music.

Booked here last minute on a whim on a Wednesday. They very kindly fit us in for a couples massage. It was exactly what we needed after a long hike the day prior. We both had a remedial massage. Their staff were excellent and the place itself is beautiful. Highly recommended.
