For nearly a century Sterland have been actively involved in the timber, plumbing and building supplies industry. One of the reasons we have been successful is because we have always strived to be the best and to find better ways to do things.

For the past 90 years Sterland have been leading the way in the Australian timber, plumbing and building supplies industry. Our origins began with Sterland Bothers Timber Supplies. Working at the coalface, the Sterland family saw the need for business tools that were industry specific and meet the distinct needs of their business.

After a frustrating search with no results, the company decided to address the issue themselves by developing their own software tools. Drawing together the collective experience of key personnel, the groundbreaking STICS software package was developed, and its reputation grew quickly across the industry.

Sterland Computing grew and evolved independently, becoming a separate company in the early 80’s. Since that time it has matured into the industry’s technological leader, continuing to develop new software features for ProStix to keep it at the cutting edge.

Sterland Computing is a wholly Australian owned and operated organisation. From its origins in 1981, the company has established a client base of over 450 installed sites in Australasia.

Born from the industry, Sterland Computing has a depth of knowledge and experience of the particular needs, interests, cycles, products, schedules and the many other complexities of building supplies operations and business.
