LOCAL INTERVENTION NUMBER 2! Announcing the arrival of the Swiss Alpine Pepper Boule - number 16 in the range of our Healthy Artisan Sourdough stable. Made as a combination of our own Sourdough Rye Culture combined with great Swiss Cheese and locally produced semi-hard Alpine Pepper Cheese from Coolamon Cheese. This is a super special bread that warmed in the oven will ooze delicious cheese. Great produce - just getting better.

Other than making a great coffee for customers - Jakob is a dedicated musician. For our many friends and followers then, below is a link to his second release, titled "Night Life", totally self written, performed, sung and produced. PANORAMIC DISCOVERY: At least 270 of our customers per week have learned that each of our sourdough loaves and buns have been carefully fermented for 46 hours, and that this length of time provides for almost absolute phytic acid (gluten) reduction and therefore maximum health benefits. And we now make and bake these loaves 7 days per week.
It's our discovery that once a customer tries one of these loaves they simply will not want to go back to preservative added supermarket breads.

Even on Sundays! Stay healthy with fresh hand-made (artisan) bread and buns - each taking a total of 46 hours to make, prove and bake. Once you've tried them it's so very hard to go back to bulk produced plastic bread.

Pane di casa - from the Italian "Pane" (Bread) & "di casa' (of the house). Hand made over a period of 30 hours. Simply healthy food. Absolutely no preservatives. Absolutely fantastic with soup, as a sandwich, or just spread with peanut butter, jam or vegemite.

Coolamon - beautiful by day and simply GLORIOUS on a crisp clear night - where you can gaze upon at least five of the planets of our solar system easily by the naked eye. What's not to love about this great shire?

Some of our Facebook followers will know we’re into music and particularly guitars, here at Steve’s Bakery & Cafe. So with that in mind we’d like to send out a HUGE SHOUT OUT to our luthier friend Leo de Kroo - who has been building, making, repairing and tidying up stringed instruments since the 1960’s - and whom we’re happy to say has moved to Coolamon in the last year or so. Here Leo took our Martin Backpacker guitar and built an attachment body around it so that when we’r...e not travelling with the smaller version it can be held and played just like a more normal sized guitar. It’s a beautiful piece of work; solid, unique and functional. For those of you who are interested in music - and perhaps would like to have a current instrument checked, or even built to your own specifications, please send Leo a private message at his Facebook page.

Apologies - but we don't serve processed chicken. Instead, on a daily basis, we roast full chicken breasts that have been marinated in herbs etc from our own garden. Seriously good taste.
