Stoccata Inner west is the Newtown based branch of the Stoccata School of Defence. Led by Provost Paul Wagner the school focuses on British fencing systems.

The first class is built around the core weapon of the Highland Broadsword, with other related weapon systems (Scottish Smallsword, Broadsword and Targe, Quarterstaff and Bayonet) being offered on an occasional basis to extend students skills and understanding.

The second class concentrates on the English Longsword, but related “medieval” systems such as single sword and sword-and-buckler will be offered on an occasional basis.

Time is availbale in both classes for freeplay and individual revision. All equipment is provided for newcomers, and first class is free.
