About Streetwork

StreetWork is a community based organisation that focuses on prevention and early intervention strategies for youth at risk, redirecting young people through positive role modelling, mentoring and practical support towards more positive and fulfilling choices for their lives. StreetWork engages with communities to provide the foundation and support to identify those young people whose needs are not being met and to help them get themselves back on track. We have a proven history in providing positive, tangible results through early intervention. As a result, the entire community benefits from these young lives being turned around. Our Mission: StreetWork endeavours to reach out and support troubled young people aged between 11 and 18 from all over Sydney's North. StreetWork aims to break the cycle of crime and violence, as well as help those experiencing destructive family relationships, rejection and isolation, learning difficulties and truancy, poor employment opportunities and substance abuse.
