Stringburn

Stringburn is a new forum and online shop for string instrument enthusiasts and lovers of classical music. I post video reviews of my handpicked instruments, discuss practice tips and share great performances.

Stringburn started from my love of classical music and the years of pleasure and discovery it has given me which was made possible by early exposure to the genre through playing an instrument.

No matter what age, playing a musical instrument is a great way to develop a better understanding and appreciation of classical music and all the good things that come along with it.

But buying an instrument can be a confusing task as it's hard what to look for in a quality instrument - made even harder as every violin and viola is different and they change in character and tone as they age.

I've handpicked new and old instruments and played them for a period, perfecting the set-up and getting to know them so buyers can be assured of quality and reliability.

I post video reviews of the instruments for sale as well as accessories for the violin and viola so my community can make better and more informed decisions.

This is also a community for string players and enthusiasts so from time to time I'll post practice tip videos, and micro-lessons etc.

And of course, lots of videos of my favourite performances.
