Reviews
it in summer hill
not much seating but very quick
Summer Hill train station is one of the few stations left that has the charm of the old days. While some would say it is not as modern as stations like Ashfield for example, the next stop, I believe it has everything that a train station needs or wants. Vending machines provide snacks for the hungry traveller and the new Opal card system is up and running, providing quick and easy access to the train system. Overall I give this quaint little station a rating of 4 stars, and hope that Summer Hill never changes.
I lived in Summer Hill for a year and used this station quite frequently. Centrally located, has a lift which is something not many other stations in the inner west have.
Small though regardless is confusing.Which platform for which direction not clearly marked.Renovation work in process here at the moment. Not much seating.Few staff.
I had a conversation at this station that started with the question: "Do you know when the next train to Perth stops here?"
excellent station but the most terrible seats you could imagine so hard steel and such an upright seating position and four heavy steel dividers all along it, each seat must weigh an enormous amount and of cost a fortune but so poor and where could they lay someone in an emergency ,they had the best seats in the world and still in perfect condition but replaced them for these at staggering expense
