A bit about me:
The last 12 months have bought some changes in my lifestyle.
This includes taking some time out of the paid work force and spending six months pet sitting in Sydney’s magnificent Northern Beaches. Just very recently after a short stint renting, I’m continuing on with this ‘tradition’ in Northern NSW whilst continuing to work part time. My motto for this year is ‘simplify and minimise’. Primarily living out of a suitcase (or two) necessitates this!
People work: My professional background is primarily in the Human Services sector – Education and Children’s Services; Coordinator of Family Ministry with the Uniting Church (facilitating and running a playgroup, after school care program and highly successful music program for the under 5's – just gorgeous);Family Day Care as Coordinator / Child Development Officer and Playgroup Facilitator (various support and mentoring roles); The Family Referral Service (working with vulnerable families and children / Child Protection role in association with FACS). Many moons ago I worked as a private babysitter / nanny and with various childcare related agencies in Sydney and on the Gold Coast. Right now my work is case management with people with disabilities.
Critter work : I have cared for homes and pets in the country and in the city, homes of all sizes, old and new, pools and gardens. Cats and dogs of all shapes and sizes, ages, breed, and disposition – never two alike. More ‘exotic’ critters include fish, living coral, crabs, a turtle, birds – parrots, chooks, pigs and piglets (too cute), mice, cows, horses and probably others I can’t recall. So many memories I shall treasure. Many of these have been rescue pets with behavioural issues and some with medical conditions.
As you may know holidays or even overnight stays are tricky (not to mention expensive) when you have to consider your pets along with the costs of your own holiday. Most pet owners do not want to put their beloved pets in pet motels and often feel guilty doing so. This can be quite expensive if you have a number of animals to cater for.
Never fear Super Sitter Sharri is here! I come to your home, so your animals routine and comfort is not disturbed too much.

Rates for Childcare: $30 per hour with a minimum of 3 hours. I am not a babysitter who will sit in front of the TV. My qualifcations and vast experience has given me a wealth of ideas for FUN and thoughtful and nurturing interactions with your children.
Education: Early Childhood Teaching; Diploma in Applied Science in Community and Human Services and a Bachelor of Social Science.
I have a Working With Children Check and a Police Check. Along with numerous references related to working with children and house and pet sitting.
