Room are ok, try to scam people tho, charge for everything, even the sheets. Scamming people, if you book the 14 room you get relocated to coogee and they dont even provide transport

One of the worst hostels Ive ever been. Extremely dirty and messy everything.
There are 2 toilets with 3 showers each for the whole building and are always full of stuff and dirty.
Then the rooms are overcrowed, there are noise 24 hours, music, people yelling, and anyone in the hostel say nothing.
Dont go to this hostel If you can find another place plis.

El Staff es perfect. But i have seen the owner is stupid Australian Who tell menbad thingYes about the staff .

There is a staff woman called Lis Who is like the mom of the place, and two guys workimg , guylam and Sarah, Aída and Skylet very good people.

Bookimg says that you pay when you arrive even if you recieve the confirmación email of your booking. Thet Will try to pay with your ccredit Card without you. When inarrived that evening they has already buyed my room to other. And he did not help me in my problem to find another room. Bad perdón the fat and tall recepcionist guy . He dont wanted to helped me.

Also when i left a Guy hice me his suit and someone stole It.

The owner seems like a skinhead and has bad words to his staff in front of me.

He told me that staff are something.
He has to treat better their staff and the people cuestión with problems.

Clean, social and secure. Great.

Do not stay here!
Myself and 3 friends checked in after seeing pictures online, believing that this was a clean and safe hostel. This was not the case.
We entered our dorm and could not believe the smell. There were things all over a floor that had obviously never been vacuumed and it was also obvious that a number of long term locals lived there. Our beds were stained and had not been cleaned at all - only the doona cover had been folded, otherwise there were no fresh sheets. Mine had a very large stain that looked like a puddle of urine, while my friends had similar on their beds.
We decided to leave almost immediately after entering the room, and were refused a refund. The guy at the desk was nice enough, but nowhere did it say there was a no refund policy, so we were extremely unimpressed. The only good thing I could see about this hostel was that you could hire some surf gear, but that's about it.

What ever you do, don´t check in at Surfside Backpackers. First of all, they are very rude and try to blame you for everything they can.

I checked in here and paid for 5 nights ahead. After the first night I checked out because of how dirty it is and the high volume during late evenings and nights. They definitely not looking after the facilities.

They didn´t refund me for the nights and somehow blamed me for being my fault that I paid them upfront.

You can use their wifi but you have to give them a 5 stars rating - this can´t be aloud Google?

Please do yourself a favour and avoid this hostel. There´s plenty of better alternatives in Bondi.

The staff is very rude. I arrived at 4:30pm and the reception was closed. I asked somebody that was staying in the hostel if they knew if somebody was working and he pointed out the staff member. When I asked him if I could check in here said he wasn't working yet, and I had to wait until 5pm. When I said I was tired and asked if he could please help me he said I could go look for my key at the reception.

Internet is not free! They will give you free wifi for couple hours when you check in, but there is a catch! You need to give them a 5 star review.

You pay $30 dollars for a key deposit, at the end of your stay you get 27 back because $3 is for washing your sheets. It doesn't make any sense to me since that's why you pay a daily rate.

If something gets broken or stolen in the hostel every guest has to split the cost and pay. They do make you sign a mini contract that states that.

The worst part. It's really dirty and they are having serious issues with bed bugs.

Luckily I made the choice to not stay there even though I already had paid for 3 nights. I met people the next day that stayed there and 3 people got BED BUGS!

Firstly - almost all good reviews are as a result of the place giving guests an extra hour of free WiFi if they write a good review.

Terrible, filthy with a massive cockroach infestation including in the rooms. Foam mattresses so thin you can feel bed slats. Only 1 hour free WiFi. Very messy rooms and no A/C, very smelly. Only 2 female toilet cubicles for the entire hostel! "free breakfast" doesn't include milk! Many more issues but I could go on forever!

Not worth the money or time. Checked in on a VERY hot day, had to wait an hour for our beds. Once upstairs found out the rooms were hotter than outside and bathrooms were very dirty. We left finally because our roommates told us they had bed bugs and my did they have the bites to prove it.

PROS: Great location and friendly staff & other guests.
