Sutherland Shire Historical Society Inc & Museum Description

The collection is focused on a time period trail called ‘A journey through time’.
​Specific displays include our geology, Aboriginal culture, explorers, pioneers and settlers, war preparations and post-war expansion.
This is augmented by touch screen devices and volunteer guidance.

Opening hours are Saturday 9am to 1 pm and other groups at other times by appointment.

​​The Primary School curriculum is especially well catered for in the museum content and presentation.
A specialist research room contains a very comprehensive data base of suburb and general histories, books and artwork relevant to the Shire.
