UPDATE: COUNCIL VOTES TO KEEP ENGADINE LEISURE CENTRE POOLS OPEN Sutherland Shire Councillors tonight voted to keep the swimming pools at Engadine Leisure Centre open over the winter months. Seasonal operation of the pools was proposed as an option to address increasing service costs arising from unprecedented energy price hikes. Sutherland Shire Mayor, Councillor Carmelo Pesce and Ward Councillors consulted with approximately 100 residents who attended a public meeting at Council Chambers on Friday 13 July ahead of tonightŌĆÖs Council meeting. Can not find anywhere in their website where it details the price for entry of personnel to simply watch. Discussed this with a lovely lady on the desk who was very helpful however also stated that it was not on the website. Probably something to update. Also I am here and told them I am here to pick someone up yet she said they would just let people through however didn't offer this to me even tho I have been standing out the front foyer waiting for 10 mins . Yes it's been a long day but this was just annoying. I'm sure they will be better next time I come.
