Sweet Potato Ceramics Description
Our boutique pottery studio, situated in a tranquil waterfront location in Castlecrag on the North Shore, is only minutes from the Sydney CBD. We handcraft our own unique pieces and are also able to make that perfect gift for someone special, offering custom work and personalised pottery. All of our ceramic ware is lead free and microwave /dishwasher safe.
Sweet Potato Ceramics offers pottery lessons and workshops, which are tailored for all levels from beginners through to advanced. Pottery classes are run on weekdays and nights, as well as on Saturdays.
For those potters who are in need of studio space, pottery wheel and kiln firing services, these are available too. We provide the opportunity for potters to develop their skills without the need to sign up to a pottery course.
Workshops:
MINI WORKSHOP
- 3 x 2. 5 hour sessions, $140
- Ideal for those who want to get a taste of pottery with no long term commitment
- Learn basic wheel throwing skills and decorating techniques
- Small groups: up to 7 students in one class
- All materials and firing included
- Take home the items that you make
- Running times: during school terms with a new course commencing every 3rd week

Wednesday evening: 6. 30 pm - 9. 00 pm
Thursday morning: 10. 00 am – 12. 30 pm
Saturday morning: 9. 30 am - 12. 00 pm
Saturday afternoon: 1. 00 pm - 3. 30 pm
8-WEEK POTTERY WORKSHOP
- 8 x 2. 5 hour sessions, $300
- Ideal for those interested in developing pottery as a hobby, for beginners, intermediate and advanced
- Learn wheel throwing skills and decorating techniques
- Accomplish a project and walk out with a hand made teapot, set of beer mugs or any project of your choice
- Small groups: up to 7 students in a class
- All materials and firing included
- Take home the items that you make
- Running times: during school terms
