Reviews
Very hit and miss. Had some good experiences and then had both elderly parents there where they have fallen out of bed and sustained additional injuries. Poor care.
Was disappointed on this visit. I had two children at this hospital over 20 years ago and could not have faulted it. Just been in for hip surgery and surprised at the fall in quality of this hospital on a number of grounds:
My room was not cleaned for the entire visit ( 4 days) and this was a surgical ward. There was dust on every surface and the table tray not wiped for days.
The ward ran out of towels so I didn't get a clean towel for days.
The airconditioning was so loud it was impossible to sleep without ear plugs.
The staff on many occassions sounded like a hens party outside my room when they got together.
The food was disappointing, I was looking forward to the beautiful vegetarian dishes I remembered.
I was left in the shower after surgery and the nurse disappeared, leaving me calling for her for quite some time ( a New Graduate) , not sure about the quality of nurse training anymore.
The volunteers were however spectacular as usual !!
San Sanx cafe customer services is just remarkable! Staff are so lovely and happy to help! Such a nice vibe :)
Dr Greg McDonald in the ER is a wonderful man. He has cared for both myself and my 4 yr old daughter under emergency conditions and is very thorough and down to earth.
The ER can be slow at times, some of the nurses are hit and miss. But the ER is clean and efficient. I will always choose The San over other hospitals in this area.
Went for hospital tour and was amazed with the professionalism and features they have in the facility. The nurse was giving attention to everyone . The design was appropriate to handle patients and one standard room than having multiple grades ( economy, premium, deluxe).
Definitely worthy of try... and yes loads of parking space
Yes parking was a bit confusing as I hadn't been before. But cheaper parking than any other hospital. Lovely staff (Lauren level 4 thank you for being bright and super helpful) etc. Customer/patient care received by my son awesome. Thank you staff and wardsmen in Clark tower surgical. Smooth process.
Will never go back to the SAN. It is like a rabbit warren with many confusing passageways with inadequate signage. When my wife left after a minor operation had to walk from Radiology to the hard to find exit at 10Pm there was absolutely no one to help us find our way out. She was not really in any condition to walk and should have at least been offered a wheelchair to the entrance. The nursing staff were friendly but mostly seemed confused about what they were doing. My wife had nothing to eat between 8 30AM and 9 30 PM. The nurse was not sure when she could eat while we were there so nothing was offered until about 9 30. Even the specialist surgeon did not bother to come to the recovery ward to talk about what he had done. It was all very disappointing.
Wonderful caring staff went out of their way to help me with my elderly father, I can't thank them enough. Very accessible for people with a disability, and wheelchairs are available. Parking is great
My three babies and grandson born here. Excellent if you need to be in hospital. Lovely memories
