Sydney Cancer Genetics Description
Not all cancer is caused by an inherited fault (mutation) in a gene. In fact, most cancer isn't.
A cancer genetic assessment at Sydney Cancer Genetics often results in reassurance and less screening.
In families where a genetic mutation may be causing an increase in risk, we can discuss the pros and cons of genetic testing and personalise risk reduction.

Our staff include Dr Hilda High, a Genetic Oncologist.
We see people via Telehealth consults to their GP or even into their homes to support people living in regional, rural and remote areas. Telehealth consults are bulk billed.
In Sydney we see patients at clinics at the SAN Hospital in Wahroonga and in Ultimo.
All appointments are handled via our head office on 02 8964 9977. A doctor's referral is required.
