They almost lost my mail if I didn't insist check it throughly. They first said there's no my mail and I should ask Post office although I just called office to confirm. Then they were so impatient and rude to continue check. The staff called Nicole who signed all mails were especially rude. What she did was emphasized how busy she was and how many mails there were. She kept complaining to me very rude while checking mails in a careless way. 5minutes later she told me it's been found as it dropped. No apology. They are just cold people who only want your acommadation fee. They don't care you. YHA ethics has totally been insulted by them. A male manager even said go away when I asked his name.

Rooms were modern, had to make your own beds. Shower/toilet cubicles were quite tight. However they kept them clean. Also good location and price.

Very friendly staff. Lots of younger people who seem cliquey but overall a good atmosphere. There's the rooftop pool and patio with some awesome views and a good place to relax. Wifi only available on the roof or lobby. Rooms aren't overly clean and are quite smelly but the good service at the front makes me want to visit again !

Convenient location with excellent rooms for the price. Breakfast was good too and the pool was also nice. School group staying there was a little loud but other than that no complaints about the stay.

First time in a youth hostel and I'm very impressed. I had a private room which was large enough with a good bathroom. Bedroom was good value for money. If you are visiting sydney for just a few days on a budget then this is perfect.

4 person room was pretty standard. Bathrooms are shared with the whole floor unfortunately so could get to be a mess at times. Great being so close to the train station. The cafe next door is pretty good too.

Perfect for Teams or people wishing to stay in the heart of the city for cheap. Conveniently located next to Central Station and many fast food restaurants. However, it got a bit stuffy in October and we couldn't find fans or A/C, so can't imagine the heat in summer.

This place is very 'hit' or 'miss'. The food can be great one day and not so great the next. Same as the service, you can get lovely staff, happy, nice and helpful. The next day you will get staff telling you to get it yourself; ie condiments, water etc when they are walking right past it and your sitting eating your meal.

Set in the city centre, this relaxed redbrick hostel is a 2-minute walk from Central train station, 2 km from SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium and 3 km from Darling Harbour.
Modest rooms and single-sex or mixed dorms feature free Wi-Fi and shared bathrooms. Dorms have bunk beds and lockers. Upgraded rooms add en suite facilities.
Amenities include a rooftop pool, a sauna and a sundeck, plus a cinema with beanbag seating. There's also a game room, a cafe/bar and a communal kitchen.

Very close to the train station, Central bus stops, and the interstate bus stops. Dorms were comfortable and well-priced. Staff were friendly, although the wifi password I was given didn't seem to work (didn't ask for help as I was only staying one night). Good selection of activities, although I didn't get around to any of them. The adjoined cafe was convenient and reasonably priced.

Decent enough stay.. staff were responsive and reasonable in their behavior.. hostel is like a nice hotel with good facilities like pool, sauna, cinema and many more.. I was peaceful as the class of guests who come here are decent versus those in other backpackers (example, blue parrot backpackers) are mostly for drinking and partying all the time and it would be an annoying experience!

I liked the fact that the rooms were big and air conditioned.. Also there is a balcony door that can be opened if fresh air is needed..

Toilets were clean and nice, however, sometimes dirtied by guests.. I would request the management to kindly take care of this..

There is also free popcorn and drinks and other foods in the cinema room and other events too such as quiz.. management also arranges for other events to socialize..

Overall it was a nice experience as I mostly wanted a peaceful and undisturbed stay that preserved privacy and I got it!

Location is excellent. However, the place is so dirty and not up to YHA standard. Rooms could do with updating, they have bit of a homeless shelter vibe.

Very average hostel and quite boring. Some of the staff aren't the most friendly, but if you are only staying a short while it's not too bad. The prices are kind of high but it is clean anyways

Serene place with a friendly manager. Love the place. Clean and tidy and beautiful back yard makes your stay very pleasant.

It is located opposite to the train station. The rooms and bathrooms are well maintained. Reception and kitchen are open 24x7. Free wifi at the common areas. It is quiet inside even though it is right in the middle of a busy junction.
