Brand new Executive Residence in Wahroonga, Sydney's garden suburb, available for short term rental for up to 3 months over the June to August period

The Space

The house is located in the leafy suburb of Wahroonga on Sydney's Upper North Shore and is 30 minutes from the city by road or rail. The house is a brand new, custom built, executive residence. It features outstanding quality, generous proportions, luxury appointments and an impressive layout ideal for a large family.

This residence will appeal to the discerning guest who expects nothing less than the finest appointments and finishes. It is classic elegance combined with modern 21st century living.

It is beautifully appointed with high ceilings, polished blackbutt floors, decorative cornices, marble and travertine.

The advertised monthly price is fixed but we are happy to discuss a discount for longer stays. We are looking for a tenant who may be on secondment, relocating, vacationing etc, ideally for a 2 - 3 month period from June to August but will consider any booking of at least a month.

The accommodation includes 4 double bedrooms with 3 bathrooms. The bedding configuration may be altered for longer stays to accommodate individual family needs. The bedding as configured includes 1 king, 2 queens and 1 single bed but further single or bunk beds can be added if required.

The over-sized master suite includes a luxury en-suite with a double sink in a marble vanity, a double rain forest shower, separate toilet and bath. There is a large fully fitted dressing room and a north facing balcony off the bedroom that overlooks the backyard.

There is a large open plan living area with a top of the range gourmet kitchen, dining room and living room with a fireplace. The kitchen has all marble bench tops including a large central island bench. Miele appliances include gas stove, oven & dishwasher. Also included is a microwave, French door fridge /freezer, garbage disposal, coffee machine in addition to the standard kitchen appliances. The dining room has an 8 seat dining table.

The living area opens out on to a 50sqm covered north facing travertine tiled patio for all year round entertaining. Beside the pool is an in ground fire pit (with a supply of firewood) and level lawn perfect for children. The property has almost 1000 sqm of landscaped grounds. There is a secluded side gate access to a bush track that leads to a children's playground less than 100m walk away at the end of a quiet cul de sac. There is a home office that includes built-in cabinetry, including large working desk and book shelves and has high speed wireless broadband.

Reverse cycle A /C - 3 zones, video intercom and alarm system, data points, ceiling fans & 100% wool carpets. There is a double garage with extra storage and internal access. Built in wine cellar near kitchen. We supply everything that you would expect in a fully furnished house such as kitchen crockery, utensils & appliances, bathroom towels and all linen.

Home theatre includes a brand new designer leather couch, 60" Smart TV with Foxtel (cable), movie streaming, PS3 & DVD library.

Miele laundry with washer, dryer, clothes hanger, bicycle, fishing and beach equipment.

Guest Access

You will have full access to the house and gardens.

Interaction with Guests

We will be there for the handover but will be away for the period of your stay. However we will be contactable if required. In our absence we will leave you in the capable hands of our property manager who will be able to assist you with most of the day to day matters. Due to the small number of families with children who live in the street we would be more than happy to introduce you to our wonderful neighbours if you desire.

The Neighbourhood

Wahroonga (a 20 minute level walk from our house) has a delightful village-style shopping area with a lovely park and a new children's play area, post office, numerous cafes, banks, a bookshop and homeware and fashion shops.

There are several lovely restaurants in Wahroonga village, including Indian, Thai, Japanese, Chinese and Mediterranean.

There is a fine dining Italian and family Thai restaurant 300m walk from the front door at Eastern Rd shops. There is also a news agent, grocer, bakery, chemist and bottle shop in this small block of shops. This gives you most things that you are likely to need in short walking distance but as they are 2 streets away in Hampden Rd you will not be bothered by the associated traffic.

The large Hornsby shopping centre including Westfield shopping mall and a multi-cinema complex is only a 25 minute walk, or 5 minute drive away. There is a newly-opened aquatic centre at Hornsby. Further dining options are available at Hornsby, including clubs and pubs.

There is a small children's playground at Eldenhope Green (less than 100m away), a dog walking park just around the corner (200m walk) and Golden Jubilee Oval (800m) has soccer and baseball fields that are open to the public as well as walking and BMX tracks.

The magnificent Northern Beaches, from star studded Palm Beach in the north to the famous Manly Beach to the south, are only a 20 minute drive and it is only a 5 minute drive from our house to the start of the main freeway heading north out of Sydney to the Central Coast and beyond. There are beautiful bush walks, golf courses and other sporting facilities nearby. We can lend you a set of golf clubs or 2 if needed in addition to other sporting equipment including tennis rackets and bikes.

The property has several mature native Australian trees that form part of the Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park tree canopy. Abundant bird life in addition to native animals such as bandicoots can often be spotted in our yard or the nearby laneway.

Getting around

If you don't have a vehicle then the bus stop is 100m away on Eastern Rd. This can take you to Hornsby, Wahroonga or Turramurra villages where there are more shops and direct trains to the city.

Ku-Ring-Gai National Park is just a 25 minute bike ride away. It is also only a 30 minute drive or train ride to the wonderful Hawkesbury River, where fishing and boating pleasures abound. We can provide you with fishing equipment and hints on how to best enjoy your time at any of these wonderful venues. We also have other gear, such as a beach boogie boards, that you can borrow.

Other Things to Note

A welcome hamper will be provided to you upon arrival. This will include a selection of local wines & craft beers, tea, coffee, jams (including vegemite), cereals, biscuits and chocolates. The pantry, fridge and freezer will be stocked with provisions to keep you going while you settle in.

All linens and toiletries are supplied and apart from personal items all other items found in the house such as appliances, tools, toys and sports equipment are available for your use.

Weekly or fortnightly cleaning with our regular cleaners can be arranged at an extra cost .

Treat the house as you would your own.
It is in brand new condition and apart from normal wear and tear is how we would expect to find it upon our return.
No smoking.
No pets.
No partying or excessive noise as the house is located in a quiet street.
