Sydney Karaoke

Went last week and had a great time. Super cheap drinks and room rates. Great selection of English, Korean and Japanese songs. Staff was friendly and helpful. Also love the happy hour prices before 6PM. Can't wait to visit again.

Wow... The amazing memories that I have at this place. We used to ditch school and come here back in the days. We have been customers from over 10 years ago. During that time I must have brought over 20 of my friends who themselves became recurring customers. In total, my friends and I must have easily given $10,000+ to this business over the years.

I never thought that I would be writing a negative review, but here we are.
Over the last couple of years, I have seen the standards decline significantly, especially in the customer service department.

Here are just a few examples:
When it is not busy, the owner lady would give me a room which has a faulty TV screen, when there are other rooms available. The TV would always give a zero when scoring the song.

When I would order jugs of alcohol, the alcohol content would noticeably decrease as the night went on (does she think that we are too drunk to notice?)

The microphones have not been upgraded in 10 years, and they are always cutting out half way through the session.

The floors are always sticky and the bathroom always stinks.

These are all forgivable offences. However, she made a huge mistake last week.

I brought a large group of friends to karaoke and we were ordering alcohol. We were running out of time, so I tried to pay for more time and alcohol, but she ignored me and then proceeded to take a phone call.

She clearly did not go the business school, but any business owner with half a brain would know this simple fact: treat your recurring customers like gold. Be loyal to them, and they will be loyal to you.

She has forgotten this cardinal rule of business because Sydney Karaoke is doing quite well these days. The saddest thing is she has lost a customer of 10+ years and she didn't seem to care. She has lost my business, and the business of my friends.

The only reason Sydney Karaoke didn't get 1 star is due to the great memories my friends and I had there. Goodbye Sydney Karaoke. You will not see me again.

Range of songs are amazing! Mostly only used English songs but from what I've heard other languages are good too. Staff aren't super friendly but not an issue. They have male, female and disabled toilets. In the room, I didn't have problems of hearing other rooms sing which is good! Seemed really busy on a Friday night but got a room for 2 hours with no problems. Had an amazing time here and definitely likely coming again!

VERY RUDE STAFF, I DONT KNOW WHY EVEN THAT PLACE WAS SCARY. NOW TO THE STAFF!, THEY WERE LIKE FORCED TO WORK, RUDE AND DIDNT REALLY KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT CUSTOMER SERIVCE. but the karaoke was okay, not bad. I will not really recommend it unless they fix their customer service. thank you!!!!!!

One of the more tolerable karaoke places in Sydney. Their customer service is a slight below average, they don't greet you when you enter and they are intimidating to approach. The floors are always sticky (always!), I am reluctant to use their bathroom facilities and their mics aren't fully charged most of the time. However they have the greatest selection of Korean, English, Japanese, and OPM songs available. The Japanese songs have Korean underneath and also include the furigana on top of the kanji. I really only recommend this place for their selection of songs otherwise you're better off looking at other karaoke places if you want a comfortable atmosphere.

Bit of an older place with tech not as advanced as many other places in the area, but as far as i remember I had a great night here, cheap and quick service.

If it weren't for the diverse and relatively updated range of K-pop and English songs available or cheap room rate, I would NOT return or recommend others to choose this karaoke venue. On many occasions, the same female staff member has been impatient, rude and slightly aggressive to customers, making it very difficult and frustrating even when requesting small things. We literally arrived 2 minutes before they opened, and were perfectly willing to wait until 1pm before asking for a room, but the woman seemed very stern and annoyed with our arrival. Customer service is definitely lacking: no smile or greeting. I hope someone understands that the staff only need to be face-to-face with their customers for under 5 minutes throughout their entire visit, which leaves a massive impression for events to follow. For future customers, please be aware of this because I actually found this quite upsetting.

Had such a blast here! Massive selection of songs (big English section along with all the Korean stuff), the karaoke rooms are spacey enough with comfortable seats, the drinks are cheap and so is the karaoke. The remote is very daunting at first (so many buttons) but once you figure it out it's so much fun! Definitely coming back
