Not a dog park so your dog hasn’t got the right to frighten my child.

Great park.

Not a dog park so why should you ask me to leave if I don’t like it when u think your dog has rights over people. IDIOTS

Great park.

Not a dog park. Off leash park.

Great park for dogs, kids, and adults alike. The dog pond is particularly good, as are the giant slide and the bridge in the playground. Plenty of room to run around and kick balls in the playing fields.

Great bike/scooter track for kids. My grandchildren always want me to take them there when i visit. There's a food area and a great playground for kids which is suitable for littlies as well as older kids...small and big slides, climbing structures, swings etc. There's an enclosed area with sand and plenty of walkkng paths. Dogs are off leash and most seem to have a lot of fun.

One of the best parks in Sydney, has good entertainment area for kids (playground and bike track) and nice paved tracks for walking/jogging. On top of it a bar (which unfortunately closes at 4:00pm) and toilets. All of it surrounded by a mix of trees and grass

Spent this year's labor day at the park for the first time, my family and friends love it! We had picnic on the grass area, children had a great time riding their bikes and scooters. The park can be easily accessed if you take the train, stop at St. Peters station. Parking area is big enough. This park is a friendly dog park, so many dogs around and they sniffed our food 😄. The only let down was the toilet. Only one toilet operated on the day, a friend of mine was qued for about 20 minutes to get to the toilet.

Good park. Big playground for kids. Only 1 cafe with long queues. Limited toilet options that as always have long queues.
Lots of off lead dogs.
A bike park for kids. Good for aeroplane watching.

It's a shame Sydney Park is so busy in some of the areas, and impinged on by development and flight noise, because it's got some of the nicest walking paths in all of Sydney, hidden in the middle. Taking your kids to the bike track to teach them how to ride safely in traffic may be one option, but best done in the winter when fewer people are there - not on a public holiday in on a cooler summer day. The biggest issue apart from the sheer volume of kids is the fact that the parents of older kids use it as an excuse to sit on a bench and forget their troubles for a bit - while the older kids often cut off and mow the younger ones down while their own parents look on aghast.

The rest of it - the woods, the marsh, the hills are all worth taking the time you have on a lazy saturday - and the cafe is worth a stop in at for simple but tasty food.

Great place for all. Large open spaces. Good walking and bike track. Great for kids. Excellent play area for kids.

User

I love Sydney Park. It's a great place to go for exercise, a picnic, or just a nice stroll. It has a big leashless zone which is great for dogs, and a big playground for kids. There is a little private picnic area by the river, with river stones to walk across and also a place for kids to ride their bikes/scooters. Parking is always full so if you can get public transport, that's much better.

User

Great view from the top of the hill to see the non stop rising cranes and ugly apartment towers that now dominate the sydney skyline. Also good for plane spotting and sunsets behind the chimney stacks. Dogs love it too!

User

It's a massive place perfect for day's picnic. Perfect for jogging or walking your pet. Several improvements ongoing as of this review. It's peaceful and wide. Special spots for kids playground and biking. You can get lost if you're not familiar with the place.

User

I really love this oasis on the edge of funky Newtown. Plenty of green space and dog friendly. Throw in a decent historical aspect and you've got me won

User

10 mins drive from the city. Great forested areas and lovely varied locations to let your dogs run freely. Really large park in the Inner West with gorgeous waterways built into it. Highly recommend - they've spent a lot of time and money on it.

User

Massive Park. Old reclaimed Sydney garbage dumpyard. What amazing work has been done to get this park made....among the top parks in Sydney in my opinion. Great for cycling, running, park workouts, pets, picnics. Widely varied landscape here. It is adjoining the Alan Davidson oval.

User

knowing it was a reclaimed rubbish dump (can't build on for decades until the soil settles) I thought it looked boring the many times I just drove past it on the way to work

until I went for a local council free nature tour and saw the lovely swamp reclamation pond/waterfall works and rush beds, native bird encouragement, and where they're starting a community farm for educating school kids

if you stroll to the top of the hill, it has an amazing commanding 360 degree panorama views of the Sydney CBD to the north all the way to the airport to the south, including maybe Botany Bay

if you like watching planes take off as I do, you can typically see one every few minutes from this park as it's close to the rising flight path.

I'm not a dog lover, but I believe it's an off-leash park, so dog owners let their dogs run happily around, so there's that too.
