Sydney University Hockey Club is at least 110 years old. We celebrated our Centenary in 2007, based on the first known record of the club from 1907. It is likely that the club was formed even earlier. Even so, we are the oldest hockey club in New South Wales, one of the oldest in Australia and the only remaining club of the five clubs that founded the NSW Hockey Association.

Today we are one of the University's largest sporting clubs, and possibly one of the State's largest hockey clubs. We have over 50 teams playing indoor and outdoor hockey at all levels. Our teams range from our Under 9 indoor teams right through to our Premier Division Men's and Women's teams, and then on to our men's Masters teams. Our players' ages range from 6 to 56.

The Club is highly competitive and our top teams in Juniors, Men's, Women's and Veterans all play at the highest possible level in Sydney's hockey competitions. They have enjoyed considerable success over the years. A number of our players are also currently playing in State and national teams.
