About Tanya Pearson Academy
One of Australia’s longest serving ballet Academies, founded in 1971 by Tanya Pearson OAM. Now under the artistic direction of Lucinda Dunn OAM.
Tanya Pearson Academy Description
Tanya Pearson OAM established the ballet school on Sydney’s North Shore in 1971 under the name of “The Northside Ballet Academy”.
The Academy has continued to grow in success and reputation ever since – attracting students not only from all over Australia and internationally.
The Academy has a strong international reputation and track record of producing professional dancers who have gone on to successful careers throughout the world.
The Academy offers a Full Time Dancers Course, Part Time Dancers Course, Adults Ballet classes and offers Teacher Seminars and Holiday Workshops.
Tanya Pearson established the Sydney City Youth Ballet Company in the 1970's in order to provide students with the invaluable experience of performing on stage in front of a live public audience. The Sydney City Youth Ballet Company continues to stage annual full length productions to audiences throughout Sydney.
In 2015 Australia's longest serving Prima Ballerina Lucinda Dunn OAM was appointed as Artistic Director of the Tanya Pearson Classical Coaching Academy. The Academy continues as one of the worlds leading classical ballet schools.
