Listening is such an essential part of communication yet a skill we have often let languish. How often do we really listen to others compared to how often we skip ahead, trying to get our own words in.
Whether you are a friend, a parent, a leader or a horse person connecting with your horse, you need to be able to listen with more than just your ears.

Going through some old photos and found this one.
Eshana was sold as a weanling, had a short career under saddle then two foals. She has just gone to a new home where she will be restarting her saddle career.
As one of Jacana's only three purebred offspring is great to see her move closer to home and to be able to follow the next chapter of her journey..
... With her dam Tia.

Keuring 2019 preparation in full swing.
Tineke of Twin Rivers and Versailles of Terrarossa off to Donemore Equestrian to be started.
They are horse number 4 and 5 sent to Donemore to be started. Love the job Jack Grady does producing calm forward horses ready to undertake the next step of their education under saddle. With many miles out and about riding cross country, up hills , crossing creeks as well as the arena works makes for happy well adjusted horses a pleasure to own.

There is so much joy watching the progress of Django's progeny. Not every one if them is destined to be a dressage horse. That depends not just on the aptitude of the horse but also on the inclination of the rider, but they all have an aptitude to enjoy being with their person.

Despite copious amounts of rain, Alexander Park Dressage was still able to be held on Saturday and Sunday which was a great relief . Other wise it would be the third event in a row that Djohari was supposed to be at but was cancelled due ot weather, Was beginning to think he was a jinx.
A very credible 6th place in each test, a heavy sprinkling of 7's and 7.5's and overall score of 67% was not to bad given his concern about the footing and the need to keep him feeling safe and confident. He can only get better with a bit of match practice.
Thanks again to Kat and Jeremy of Janjic Performance Horses for looking after him so well.

At Tashkent Friesians we are rationalising and scaling back our breeding program, therefore we have a selection of horses for sale from yearlings to horses under saddle and proven broodmares. Horses for sale include partbreds (Friesian x Warmblood), purebred Friesians, Warmbloods and an Andalusian x TB. We have reduced prices to meet the current conditions but this is not a fire sale. Horses are all a bargain compared to the value we believe they hold but are not priced as “m...ust sell or else”.
Prices range from $4,000 for yearling Tashkent Djaramillo (Django of Cacharel x Regadez Moi) to $30,000 for imported first premium Star mare Fanny fan e Pykesyl (Andries 415 x Krist 358).
More details of the horses can be found on our website at:
https://tashkentfriesians.com.au/product- category/horses/
All horses are registered with the relevant breed societies and purebred mares are DNA tested Hydrocephalus and Dwarfism free.
Please contact us to discuss horses you are interested in. Prices always negotiable to the right homes. June 2018

Interested in a Friesian but never met one? This workshop is a great opportunity not just to work on your horsemanship skills but also get up and personal with the Friesians of Tashkent (no riding involved).

You can see his style a bit better in these.

Our young Django colt Djaguar had his first outing today.
Very happy with his great manners and attitude and he came home with a champion ribbon for Champion Coloured Horse over 14.2.
He was also in 'Any other breed not catered for' with a first in his class but no champion.
... Very happy with my yearling.
