Team Sydney Incorporated (ABN 80 038 776 994) is a not-for-profit community body staffed by volunteers. It promotes sport, fitness and healthy lifestyles among gay, lesbian and gay-friendly people.

Team Sydney member clubs are non-discriminatory and welcome the participation of gay, lesbian and gay-friendly sportspeople. If you are a beginner, a weekend casual participant or a serious athlete you will likely find a way to play your sport in a welcoming, fun and supportive environment. Many member clubs compete in the wider community at district and state /national competitions. Some offer annual competitions and training programmes to encourage individual improvement and participation at major national and international events.

For over 30 years the Federation of Gay Games (FGG) has upheld the ideals of Participation, Inclusion and Personal Best. More recently, the Gay & Lesbian International Sports Association (GLISA) was formed; it is a democratically governed, international association of G& L sport, culture and human rights organisations from around the world. Team Sydney continues to support the worthy ideals of all these sporting organisations.

Historically, Team Sydney was formed to support attendance at Gay Games events. With the advent of GLISA and other organisations, Team Sydney has determined to support all G& L sports associations equally, leaving it up to our member clubs and their individual members to determine where they wish to compete.
