Myth #1: It’s cheaper to buy a musical instrument from the east.
There seems to be a common misconception that purchasing an instrument from an interstate dealer is cheaper than one right here in the West.
WRONG!
... Did you know that Tempest Music price matches to any legitimate quote from any other Australian dealer? Often we are actually cheaper.
For example, where else are you going to find a Bach Strad 180/37 Trumpet for only $3995 OR a Buffet R13 Clarinet for $3999?
Why wouldn’t you by local?

Matt may be camera shy himself but sure does take a mean photo don’t you think? Here are more of the pics he took of the Eastman Jean-Pierre Lupot VL501.
Of course, that’s not the only Eastman we have for you. There is one for any taste or budget. Like the VL80, VL100, VL200 right through to the VL 601 for starters.
Don’t forget you can take one home today on our fab rental program with purchase option. You simply must come in and try them for yourself.

Ok Violinists this one is for you. Ever wondered what a violin would sound like with different sets of strings? Wonder no longer because we have 5 of the same Eastman violin model, all with different strings.
The model photographed is the Jean-Pierre Lupot VL501, you’ll have to guess the string brands or come in and try the difference for yourself.
While you’re here, why not take home a Jean-Pierre Lupot VL501 of your very own? You can take it with you on our ever popular re...ntal program with purchase option for around $25 per week.
These are so new they aren’t even on our website yet but for details of the rest of our range of intermediate violins here is the link: http://www.tempestmusic.com.au/…/list†¦/intermediate-violins/

Check out these amazing pics of fine details on some of our high end saxophones taken by our resident photographer, Matt. Pictured are the Selmer Reference 54 Alto Sax, the Selmer Series III Alto Sax, the Yanagisawa 991 Soprano Sax and the Yanagisawa W020 Tenor Sax. Can you put a name to a picture?
They are worth every penny for the detailing alone. Come and have a test blow and take one home on our increasingly popular rental program with purchase option.

I bought a flute book at 3.30pm and returned it at 9.15am the next day because the book was the same one on the list from last year. I had asked the staff to see if I had already purchased it previously and she checked my file and said " no". When I got home I saw that it was the same book purchased from the same store. The store would not give me a refund only a credit note. This is unfair as they will hold my money for 12 months. I am not likely to return to the store. There are other music stores in Perth!
