About The Acupuncture Haven

My vision is to provide a haven - a place to heal and unwind. I am looking at a holistic approach, combining acupuncture, Chinese herbs & TCM dietary advice and lifestyle advice.

The Acupuncture Haven Description

Student Acupuncture Clinic – First treatment FREE

I am a 4th year Chinese medicine (acupuncture and herbal) student. In the student clinic we treat patients for only $25 /session. All treatments in the student clinic are done under supervision from qualified and experienced practitioners.

What is Chinese medicine?

Today’s hectic lifestyle can easily throw the body out of balance and over time create persistent health issues that may have been hard to treat with common Western medicine approaches. A strong and healthy person is less likely to catch a cold, be affected by stress or suffer from muscle aches and pains.

Chinese medicine is a holistic medical approach that sees an imbalance in the body as the root of illness and therefore, irrelevant of the presenting symptoms, to heal, this imbalance needs to be brought back into balance. Qi, which can be described as a form of energy, flows through channels in our body and acupuncture points allow access to manipulate the body’s energy and restore health.

If practised correctly, acupuncture is a very safe treatment method that, at times, can avoid much more invasive treatments such as surgery. Chinese herbal prescriptions are made of naturally occurring products; generally presenting much less side effects than common prescription drugs.

Who should consider Acupuncture & Chinese herbal treatment?
