Venue was great, bouncer however was very rude and seemed to push his own masculinity. I was relatively sober yet he was rude and stood in my face threateningly. Two Pacific looking bouncers were calm and kind, the balding "alpha" male was very unpleasant and pushed me, unwilling to share his name with me. As a visitor to Sydney, this was a rather unpleasant experience.
Thankyou Arthouse for providing a fun night.

Popular with inner City workers at lunchtimes and early evening after work. Normal pub grub menu - nothing special. Good range of keg beers. Efficient bar service.

User

Nice atmosphere and good beer selections. However, the lunch menu was not different than dinner. Kinda odd as they serve the same thing for lunch and dinner.

Worst Canada Day event ever. It was clear that the organisers hadn't vetted the food and drinks, as nothing was real or authentic tasting. The "real" cheese curds (as I was assured they were by the bartender) was ricotta cheese, and the drinks were poor versions of the real things. The bar staff seemed bored and uninterested.

Popped in on a Tuesday to meet a friend after work. Was a few others in but not busy.
I think they were training new bar staff as painfully slow and didn't know the price of anything.
$15 pizzas (Tuesdays) were pretty good. Garlic pizza very yummy and 4 seasons had plenary of toppings.
$5 for a schooner of Young Henry's. Can't complain at that.

User

Large area with great decor. Drinks reasonable price for CBD bar. Food a bit pricey for what you get. Staff friendly and presentable and overall the place was clean and comfortable.

Great tapas - 4 plates between 3 = $20 per person and the food was delicious. Unfortunately it was a quiet Saturday night so we had to leave at 8pm as they were closing the bar. But we would go back and check out other spaces in this fine establishment.

User

I actually really like it here.
Very cool space to sit in and have an after work drink.
Central location.
Beautiful artwork inside, high ceilings.
Can get crowded but not enough to be off-putting.

Old style hotel pub setting, always crowded and not easy to find seating at night. Food is surprisingly good but it is a competition to get thru the crowds and queues!

Some days they have live music and is a hit and miss! Most of the time it's so loud that you can't even hear yourself screaming 😱 😱

User

Ok atmosphere and very limited happy hour (1 beer on sale) on weekdays - which is a big fail for a city pub. Food is average fare for pubs but there's plenty of decent restaurants nearby so head to the Art house for a drink then head on.

User

Great atmosphere, great food and selection of drinks. Can get a bit busy in peak times but the staff deal with it well.
