The Australian Historical Performance Initiative is a non-profit organisation founded to promote the performance of historical music, i. e. music from earlier time periods conceived through the 'historically informed performance' approach, by presenting concerts. In furthering the performance of historical music, the AHPI works with Australian musicians, performance venues, educational institutions and other related organisations and businesses to bring historical works of music, such as those composed during the Renaissance, Baroque, Classical and Romantic eras, to Australian audiences through high-quality concerts, workshops, lectures and other related events.
