Here to see Jon Cleary. Sound Was rubbish. Couldn’t hear his piano or vocals. Bit of a problem when you pay to see a singing pianist.

Venue is great so the shows. However, food is pretty average -they need a better menu

I was not impressed at all, i'm a regular client at the basement, i ordered food and i was waiting for almost 40 minutes and then i asked the person who i ordered the food from! he was making fun and laughing about it and he asked me if i still want the food, what kind of joke is that? i will never go there again after 30 years of supporting the bassment,

Great night, brilliant soul and blues band, played all our old Aretha, Otis, Tamla and Atlantic classics.....Perfectly cooked salmon and good attentive staff. Love this place, so many good memories and although a contentious issue (reading other posts) great value for money.

I loved it last night. Our first time there but we'll be back. I wish I knew who the opening group was. They were also fabulous, along with Casey Donavon.

Not bad, used to be good when they used to pull the big names,(20 year ago) these days they just get the b graders, but even b graders are good when you're pissed.
It's a very sexual venue. All the women are genuinely promiscuous, and Ive never walked out of there without a root. (Not bad for a mid forties grey haired fatty) I only give it 3 stars though coz although they look like 10's when you meet them in this dingy dive, they turn in to 3's when you wake up next to them.

Great music that you feel very close to. The food is hearty. Service friendly and efficient. Check the bill before you pay.

Came here for their Monday night jam! For a Monday evening in Sydney, this place is buzzing. Great atmosphere for those who love live music.

Wanted us to pay $25 cover for an empty bar at 930pm on a Sunday. Pass.

Awesome place. I went there with some friends in 2002, right after we left Afghanistan. The staff made my and my fellow Marines happy. Semper Fi.

Intimate entertainment. Many years since I last was there. Saw Jade Hurley tonight and it was great. Had a little problem with the menu, but Cameron the manager fixed it up promptly and satisfactorily. Food was very much better than I expected. I would recommend the beef entre and the lamb main course, and the others were happy with their choices. Suggest you add a cheese platter for desert.
