The Bathers Pavilion Restaurant

Very pretty location. I have been here for a couple of weddings and it makes for a nice intimate venue.

Great location and great view. The white linen service is exceptional. The degustation is the way to go. Wines and prices are what you can expect for this food and type of service.

We had our wedding at Bathers and we are so glad we chose Bathers! We had our ceremony on the Terrace and everything was beautifully set up. It was a stunning view looking over Balmoral Beach from the Terrace and although it was a beautiful sunny day on our wedding day, I wasn't stressed because I knew if it rained, we would be covered on the Terrace. The Reception also went well thanks to our floor manager Jordon and her Team. We were running late due to our photos running over time but Jordon and her Team were there to ensure everything ran smoothly. Leading up to the big day however, it was our events manager Catherine who had been a delight to work with from the beginning. No matter what it was I wanted to check in with her about, I got a professional and prompt response. Weddings are not an easy task to organise so it definitely helped to have a professional and responsive contact to touch base and organise the day with. Highly recommended for any engaged couples looking for a venue for their special day!

My family and I dined at Bathers for lunch, the first time I have been there in many years. It was a beautiful day and the location does not disappoint as one of the best in Sydney to have lunch on the harbour. However the prices have become excessive. Although the food was good and the service friendly, the prices gave an expectation of something more that for me wasn't delivered. If you don't mind paying for the location then you will probably be happy.

Great dinner spot for a balmy summer evening. Not sure what I enjoyed more: the friendly service, or the simple yet beautifully executed dishes. Would highly recommend the fish or seafood dishes.

Delightful meal - great service, delicious and inventive dishes beautifully presented. Also great variety of options for vegetarians. And what a location!

Took my husband here for his birthday lunch because of all the good reviews but sad to say we were disappointed.
Firstly, the view was fantastic. Unfortunately though, the positive ended there.
The serving sizes were TINY for the price you pay. For $36 a main, we could get something better and bigger in the cbd.
We ordered a risotto dish for my son and I can tell you that it wasn't made fresh, the rice was stale, old and cold and chalky - my overnight rice tastes better. The pan fried fish that came with it was overcooked.
The arancini I had wasn't good either - the rice inside was stale, and over flavoured with salt to cover up the old food. We were planning to have dessert there but decided against it given the quality of the food we just had.
Overall, a very disappointing experience and we won't be back or recommend this place.

The Bathers Pavilion Restaurant situated next to the beach is a very nice place for a meal. It was opened on 20th February 1929 for bathers and is now a refurbished restaurant. There are two dining areas downstairs, one for casual dining and the other mainly for dinner. The dining rooms look out to the glorious view of Balmoral Beach. While having a meal there it is very interesting to see the beach and sea activities and yachts and ferries sail past Middle Harbour at the horizon. In the casual dining area, the floor to ceiling windows are opened for the cool sea breeze to wave through, coupled with the salty taste from the sea spray adding an extra flavour to the food.
Food and service are good.
