Reviews
Pies are always good! Just a little pricey but definitely worth the stop in on your way through
Good spot to stop while traveling to or back from the coast. Excellent variety of baked goodies that are worth stopping for.
Always have great pies and sausage rolls. Their sweet pastries are delicious too. Almost impossible not to stop on the way down to the coast.
Zero character, unenthusiastic staff but the food was OK. Had no choice as every other venue either locks up at 14:00 or has run out of food. Shame, lovely town otherwise.
It started with a girl on the till that couldn't do math, my pie was dry and horrible, sausage roll contained no trace of "sausage"? My coffee wasn't the worst I've had, but would it hurt to put sugar in if asked, before those horrible lids are fitted? Overall disappoint. I won't be back !
This place has lost a lot of its charm since it became popular and expanded but it's still definitely worth a stop on your way to the coast.
"If your (sic) after a decent coffee this isn't the place to go, you'll be disappointed." I agree with an earlier post. On first visit I enjoyed the coffee so went back only to get a very disappointing brew. What made it worse was I waited 15 minutes as they had lost the order and the lady who took the order must have got out of the wrong side of the bed. I too will not be returning.
Trading on a history of the best pie, the place to stop between the coast and Canberra. It's good but does not live up to the hype. Especially since our favourite pie was cut in the new reduced menu.
Nice place to stop in the way from Canberra to the cost. Friendly service, nice coffee and excellent bakery. Very important also to find the best toilet facilty in the whole trip.
Steak pie had little in the way of steak... sausage roll was quite average.
Had the curry beef pie was pretty good, plenty of staff serving however prices have gone up a bit since I was last here.
Great selection. Quick and friendly service. Pies could be improved. Historic location.
