"The Bridge" - is excited to present, together for the first time in decades; two of Australia's Legends and Pioneers of the 70's: "Madder Lake" and "Spectrum" performing all their ' Hits' plus more from their long and respected careers in the Australian music landscape.
In 1973 Madder Lake rocketed Mushroom Records into the big arena with the company's First Gold Album "Stillpoint" by "Madder Lake." To be followed by their critically acclaimed second album "Butterfly Farm". ...Now 46 years later they are still playing and having never really split up. Their musical magic is still there.
Having just recently done some brilliant shows; the " 45th Anniversary of the "Rolling Stones" at Kooyong Concert" at the Corner Hotel Melbourne to a capacity audience to name one. "Madder Lake" were support act to the "Stones" for three memorable shows. They are absolutely delighted to be playing with old friends in "Spectrum" They both shared so many Great Gigs together through the years. And what can be said of "Spectrum" and the genius of Mike Rudd, now a spritely 72 years young. From "Spectrum " to " Indelible Murtceps" to "Ariel". The music from these bands has cemented it's place in Australian Rock History. Spectrum have never stopped playing since the 70's and are still wowing their audiences. Spectrum's anthem "I'll Be Gone" was recently used in the hit movie sequel " Red Dog 2" and has been covered by numerous artists. A Show Not To Be Missed By Icons Of Australian Rock History.
