The CareFlight Challenge is your virtual fitness and fundraising challenge. It has something for everyone, at every fitness level. You can challenge yourself or your friends to complete a distance or you can race in the virtual Woodford to Glenbrook!

The Careflight Challenge Description

The CareFlight Woodford to Glenbrook Classic which this year will be in 2 parts.

1. 800 entrants who will run or ride the Oaks Fire Trail through the beautiful Blue Mountains National Park from the town of Woodford down to the Euroka Clearing near Glenbrook. Covering 25 km of undulating bushland, the trail is incredibly scenic and a must for keen mountain bikers and trail runners.

2. Up to 200 runners will run 5 km from the intersection of the Oaks Trail and Bennett Ridge trail to the Euroka Clearing, This run is a new event to be run in conjunction with the CareFlight Woodford to Glenbrook Classic

Participants are supported the full length of the track by Rural Fire Service crews stationed along the way providing First Aid and drinks. A CareFlight Doctor and St John’s Ambulance volunteers will also be in support. Both events will share the same infrastructure.

Both events will finish with a community fair-style reception in the beautiful Euroka Clearing. Families welcome to join in the fun with activities for the kids, food stalls, and displays throughout the day. Presentations are made throughout the day.

For the 25 km event Mountain Bike riders start from 9. 00 am and Runners start from 10. 00 am. The 5 km run will start at 11. 30, after the cyclists in the W2G Classic have all passed the start point; A separate start pad will be used for this run. Exact start times and transport and parking details will be advised to participants closer to the event. However 5 km Run entrants will be bussed to the start from either their choice of Glenbrook Railway Station or Euroka Clearing

For the 25 km event registration is $60 for adults and $30 for juniors. For the 5 km event registration is $25 for adults and $15 for juniors. Money raised by entrants through donations and fundraising activities helps to fund the services of CareFlight and each entrant is asked to assist with this.

Teams and individuals are welcome to enter. The registration process is online and easy to follow. Registrations open at 0800 on 1st April 2017 and will be taken until 2359 22nd June 2017 or until the event reaches the maximum number of participants. No entries will be accepted on the day of the event. There is a limit of 650 cyclists, with no limit on runners.
