The Carter Sydney

We had a great experience. It has beautiful ambience and excellent food. The staff is very courteous and attentive. It was Thursday evening and still they were quite busy. Seems good place to enjoy drinks with friends and very convenient from work .

Food is fantastic, staff are nice and attentive. Love how both areas have a distinct feel. An upmarket look on the ground level makes the place great for an after work drink and dinner (try the wings). The hip hop inspired murals on the basement level combined with the great RnB music on the weekend makes the Carter a great place to go on a night out. Definitely worth a visit!

Really great place, unique concept and amazing fit out. A seriously cool place to be. The place has a great vibe, with pumping R&B music with friendly staff and speedy service. Went for food and cocktails which was delicious. Tasty food and deliciously presented cocktails, will be back! Highly recommended.

Went on a Friday night, food was available til very late in the night.. Which meant no one got too drunk or hungry. Amazed at the fact we can have dinner, cocktails then music turns loud and becomes a club at 11.. And the food is still available. Love the setup. It's an all in one venue!

Went there a few weeks ago with a group of ten. Booked in advance. Food was unbelievable and great value. The girls loved their cocktails. Will definitely be going back.

Loved this joint! Came in on a weekday for Lunch to celebrate my Birthday and the Bartender/Waiter was super nice. Music was sick (suited the venue) and food was A++++ so much value for money. Not many "American" restaurants in Sydney come in "American" sizes but this place does! Will be back for sure :-)

Was seated at 7:30 upstairs in a totally empty venue. Absolutely 0 service. Bartenders complaining to each other about the lack of staff. No menus brought to the table. I then asked if we could be seated downstairs as it was somewhat lively. I was told that only if u book early in the week you get those tables; I booked on Monday morning. Attitude of staff is appalling. Honestly great concept but the most unprofessional execution

Last night I paid my cover charge to go in and was waiting just outside for my friends. One of them didn't get let in and it was for an understandable reason so I am not upset at the security staff as they were just doing their job. I then went over to them to find out what happened. The lady working the door would not refund me my $20 as in her words she couldn't prove I had gone in. I had not even stepped one foot inside the place and she was refusing to refund me for a service I did not receive. This is deplorable and am amazed that an establishment that I have previously had an excellent time at would treat people so poorly.
