The Cook, His Wife & Her Shoes is a bespoke shoe boutique founded on the principal of love. The love of exquisite shoes and the love between The Cook & His Wife.

After years of disenchantment with Sydney’s shoe selection, The Cook encouraged his Wife to pursue her dream. She had long dreamed of providing women an experience of luxury & satisfaction when shopping for heels – to invite women into her personal shoe boudoir where they would receive private fittings, exceptional service and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

The Cook, having a relentless desire for excellence, put aside his long-standing and established career in the kitchen to wholeheartedly support The Wife in her dream. Shortly thereafter, in 2012 The Cook, His Wife & Her Shoes opened their doors in Surry Hills and has firmly cemented itself as the finest shoe store in Sydney.

The boutique is the physical embodiment of all the Wife’s luxurious imaginations & an extension of her own collection. Style and inspiration fill the eclectic vintage styled space from corner to corner – shelves dripping in books filled with shoe designs & rich fashion history to hand-carved vintage tables displaying the finest Italian stockings, lace ankle socks & elegant accessories.

Complimentary private fittings are made available to every habitué – enjoy a pot of luxury tea whilst heels are served to you atop silk scarves and polished silver plates. With so many exclusive brands and designs available, The Wife (or for the luckiest of ladies, The Cook) will not rest until you are in your perfect shoe. Every pair of the shoes stocked by The Wife is lovingly chosen, inspected and tested before they grace your feet. She believes style should not overshadow comfort and selects only the most luxurious, timeless and on classically inspired designs that are feminine, handmade and a dream to wear.
